Olympic Weightlifting for Sports Performance

We are excited to announce a NEW olympic weightlifting program!  This program will help participants learn the correct and safe techniques for the clean & jerk, the snatch, and squat and deadlift variations. Try an introductory class for only $5!  Intro classes are offered Saturdays this summer from 10:30am - 12pm.  See below for more details!

Why Olympic Lifting?

Olympic Lifting is one of the best ways to develop athleticism. Most athletic events require power for optimal execution, either moving an object, an opponent, or oneself within the context of competition. It has a higher skill demand and therefore must be taught and progressed cautiously to avoid injury or development of improper movement patterns.

Who will coach?

Class is coached by Troy Englehart II, ATC, LAT, CSCS, AOLC, CCWC, FMSC.  Troy is an advanced Olympic weightlifting coach through Leo Totten, Totten Training Systems, LLC and clinical athlete provider.  He has over 10 years of weightlifting experience and over a 1,000 hours of evaluating, analyzing and teaching correct human movement patterns related to sports through his Athletic Training license and Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification.

What will I learn?

The program is designed to teach proper technique for the snatch, clean & jerk and weightlifting variations.  You may decide to join the program after the $5 introductory class.  Each participant will get individual, hands-on coaching, a functional movement screen and will pass a video analysis for each weightlift. This will help ensure results and the ability to progress your weightlifting program. After completing the 5-week program, you will have the opportunity to join our weightlifting sports performance programs.

Introductory Class:  Enroll for one of our introductory training classes offered Saturdays for only $5!   Only 1 introductory class per person.

How do I try it?

How much is the program?

Our 5-Week Program is offered for $99, which includes 1 90-minute session per week.  No membership required.  You will have the opportunity to join our basic gym at the same time for $0 enrollment fee.

Once you successfully complete the 5-week program, you will have the opportunity to continue training as part of our Adult Group Membership.  Along with the option to train in any of our standard adult group classes, you will also have 2 class options weekly that are geared specifically toward Olympic Weightlifting.

Please note that at no time do we allow the practice of Olympic weightlifting in the basic gym or any unsupervised workout.  These movements require proper training and carry a high level of risk and therefore can only be done under a coach's supervision.
